Good morning all. Kidding season Has begun on the ranch. As the first baby born on Sunday Feb 13th to Jules. A purbred Boer. He was a little thing less then 6lbs. And I had to pull him. His back legs were weak and he could not stand. But he is out and breathing. Gave him some Boise and put him in a pen with mom. I have been rubbing his legs every day and standing him on them helping him to eat. But this morning when I went out at 2 am to help him eat. He was up on his own and eating. Yes, that is great. He is so cute. And I am going to have a great kidding season this year.
So, I have decided to bring the expecting girls home here to the house where I can keep a closer eye on them. This morning when I got up with Benny. Sweetie, one of the boer girls was outside pacing. Not sure yet but I think she has dropped and her kids are getting ready to see the world. But I am off for the next 4 days. So they can just kid away.
As for everyone else. Spadie is still down but alert and trying to get up. Susie-Q is up and walking agian. And I have brought Angel home as she is a little on the weak side. Started her on some meds and will watch her.
Update on the well. It is running just fine. Thank you Lord for answering my prayers. Life is good but I need to get some small jobs to bring in some money. As I have started graining all of the goats and that is going to cost.
I had better go for now as I have a lot to get done today. I will keep posting new babies here as well as on fb
