Arapaho and Pepe
Good morning everyone.
Keeper/Mom just let us know that we have our own place to talk about things and life on the farm. And we all, meaning me, Arapaho and Pepe, along with Benny, have a lot to say. Well, Benny does not want any part of our complaining this morning. He says what ever the goat keeper/goat goddess does is in our best interest. We are NOT thinking so this morning.
But I, Arapaho will start with this….
Up until now life was really good here. I had a hard time coming into this world, but once I was out, dryed off and had a full tummy, things just started looking up. You see, I was born on the farm here, along with my sister, Lakota. Our goat mom had a really hard time having us. If it was not for the help of our goat keeper and her sister, Connie, we would not be here today. The first week was kind of hard, but we got to stay in a house, ride in a warm truck, get held and rocked all the time. You see, my sis and I were born early, very tiny and could not walk. However, within a few days we started taking our first wobbly steps.
We went on our first people tour within two weeks of arriving in this world, off to the motorcross tracks for motorcycles races, and let me tell you we were the hit of the weekend. The next weekend we went back, and the same thing all over again. We were celeb’s before we were even a month old. Now I don’t think even that guy, Justin Beiber can say that.
So…I will come back to that later, as today I have a big complaint. Yesterday, the goat goddess let us out and gave us grain, said something about shots and banding. Now, shots I have had, and yes, they hurt, but only for a little while. But this banding… I didn’t know what it was.
Well, I found out!
Keeper put me on the stand, gave me some grain and then put a band around my (boy) hanging jewelry. Really, not too bad at first – then it started hurting, and by nightfall it really hurt. So, the bottom line is… I am not a happy camper! ..or too happy with my keeper. Now Pepe, he wouldn’t say much about this, but I do think he is in more pain than I. Our keeper came out this morning and gave us a pill and said it would help with the pain. Ha, we will see about that.
